About Nagoya(Komaki) International Airport /Nagoya(Komaki) International Airport

Nagoya Airport is located north of Nagoya in a city called Komaki, but certainly not as far as Narita Airport is from Tokyo. There are domestic flights to and from a total of 26 cities in Japan, including Hokkaido and Okinawa. International flights fly to most Pacific Rim destinations, as well as Europe. ANA flies a shuttle from Nagoya to Narita, while JAL runs mostly international flights. Consult a travel agent for detailed information. The terminal is divided into two buildings: the right side is the international terminal while the left side is for domestic lines. The easiest way to get to Komaki is to take the Meitetsu Express Airport Bus (Meitetsu Express Airport Bu) from Meitetsu Higashi Okazaki station. The bus leaves from the number 7 slot at the Meitetsu Bus Terminal at Higashi Okazaki station. The first bus leaves at 05:20 am, and starting from 06:00 am until 05:00 pm runs every hour on the hour(during peak travel seasons, every half hour). The cost is 1,840YEN for a 70 minute or so ride. The airport bus also runs from the Meitetsu Bus Station at Nagoya Station. Please remember that, unlike the unbelievably punctual trains, during rush hour or on holidays buses may take a little longer to get to the airport, so plan accordingly.
